SPECTOR Gallery/Projects Founder and Director

A Philadelphia program that showcases local and emerging artists, garnering local, national, and international acclaim. It has bolstered the careers of many artists offering them their first solo exhibits and ushering them on to major museums and galleries from Tokyo to Milan and Paris. With emphasis on developing their professional careers and developing outreach to new and growing audiences, the artists works have entered the permanent collections of Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Philadelphia Museum of Art, and The Museum of Modern Art in New York. SPECTOR has partnered with other local arts organizations including the Mural Arts Program, Philadelphia Print Collaborative (now Philagrafika) and Space 1026 artist studios and gallery.
-Program development and implementation, marketing, public relations and management
-Design, development and editing for three interconnected promotional and sales websites utilizing Adobe Photoshop, Adobe GoLive and Filemaker Pro. The websites are Spectorspector.com, gallery website with built in retail sales component, ShelleySpector.com, artist website and ArtJaw.com, an online collection of first-person stories by and about Philadelphias art community.

Worked with lower school classes on and off site on thematic projects. Schools include Independence Charter School, Germantown Friends, The Baldwin School, Friends Select, Moonstone Preschool, and University of the Arts Saturday School.
